This low-impact process transforms the body into nutrient-rich soil over 60 to 90 days using oxygen, plant material, and heat to harness the body’s natural microbial activity and speed the decomposition process. The resulting soil can be returned to the family or donated to a protected forest in Washington State.

- Transportation from a residence, hospital, care facility, coroner’s office or Board-and-Care in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, or Ventura counties
- Sheltering in our licensed climate-controlled facility
- Completion and filing of the death certificate and disposition permit
- State Consumer Affairs fee and applicable taxes
- Required combination shipping container and cold packs
- Coordination and transfer to Return Home, our NOR partner facility in Kent, Washington
- Bathing and respectful preparation
